Hey Pet Parents & Pet Lovers,
In hopes of uploading all of my kitty videos before I lose them again, I’ve uploaded a video of Beau from around the first month we got him. I found an old SD card from my video camera and discovered a bunch of videos! Thank the cat gods!
In the following video Beau plays with a dollar store feather teaser. (Notice how he’s already destroyed it so we had to duct tape it… Yes… sometimes we must do what we have to do, because our little ones are going to destroy their toys anyways!)
Beau has always been very active and playful, and I’m so surprised he has gained so much weight since we got him…. Although, I mean… he was hunting outside and chasing birds to gift us.
I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoy playing with Beau <3 The kitty of my dreams!
Duct Tape: Handyman’s Secret Weapon…remember Red Green??? MOL!!!
Pipo loved a wand toy s much he chewed it off the string…but you know he loves that toyless string on a stick immensely! Go figure.
Beau is so cute with his toy/feather.
If I find a large one outside, I bring it in, and Pipo has fun with it for a while. I taped a few together once and made a homemade ‘bird:)
I’ve always debated bringing in feathers from outside, but I’m always so worried because there’s that saying “a bird who loses it’s feathers is sick.” But I don’t know if that’s a myth! š OFF TO RESEARCH! (And, I know birds naturally lose their feathers, just need to know how you can tell if it’s okay to touch them!)
What a cute video! Beau loves his feather toy. The part he was kinda giving it bunny kick was really cute š Good job fixing the toy with duct tape. I’ve saved some of my boys’ favorite toys by stitch fixing them, but there were other which were so dead that that had to go š
I never thought to sew it up! *Sigh* the things that are right in front of my face š
Well Beau, you sure are enjoying that feather. We probably would have grabbed it and dragged it away or at least some of us would. Fantastic video. You all have a great day.
Hahaha! Do your little ones hide toys?
Some toys are just asking to be destroyed haha funny how at one moment he looked like he couldn’t care less and then went all in a moment later.
:’) That’s Beau for you. He’s definitely a little teasy kitty!
It looks like sweet, handsome Beau was enjoying a nice Easy while having a bit of feather play…we see he decided to really get up and tackle that feather though. Cute video. Thank you for visiting Pooh and Chancy and leaving a comment. Hugs and nose kisses
Absolutely no worries! Will do my best to be around more often <3
It looks like you’re having a lot of fun, Beau ! We love feathers too ! Purrs
Purr purr! We need a play date!
Until the last minute, it looked like Beau didn’t want to be bothered. MOL! He’s a lazy guy. I jump up in the air after my feathers. If he likes feathers, you have to get him some peacock feathers and not the ones that are dyed for crafts. Amazon sells them for kitties as does Cat Claws.
Will look up the peacock ones! We currently have Da Bird. I don’t know if those are peacock or not! But he sure loves them!
He showed that toy, all right! And you know what? All our feather toys have been reduced to nubs. Mom got some more feathers for our very favorite toy about four months ago, but as you now know, she’s a turtle about stuff like that too.
It’s hard to throw out toys :’) Especially if they aren’t the best quality. Luckily we’ve gotten some more durable ones since!
sooo cute!!
I absolutely love snuggling this hufflepuff <3
Beau is such a cutie.
<3 Right? <3
Beau sure was having fun. We love playing with feathers too.
They seem to be a popular pick! š
maybe you should let loose a flock of real birds inside your house. beau would be in heaven…
Oh man, even when he hears birds at the window he goes nuts!
That video was really cute.
Glad you enjoyed it Mary <3
I get rather mixed results with toys like yours. The real or simulated bird feathers really interest them more, but their durability is fleeting! All in all Beau got some stimulation out of it!
We’ve recently been trying DA BIRD and have been loving it. It hasn’t broken just yet, but more testing before we review!
Beau is such a cutie! And we have a couple of drawers full of old, damaged toys that I am not ready to part with…too sentimental!
I’m glad someone understands :’) We definitely have loads in our house.
Well, of course we’ll play with our toys the way WE like it! You better invest in more expensive toys or a constant supply of duck tape!
P.S. In Finnish, duck tape is called Jesus tape – hehe. A miracle solution to any possible problem!
Hahahaha! That’s hilarious! Duct Tape has definitely been used plenty of times in this household!
