Thankful Thursday: Awesome Volunteers

October 19, 2017 By Johnny Salib 28 Comments

thank-you-volunteers

Hey Pet Parents & Pet Lovers,

Today’s post isn’t about us, but it is about how awesome volunteers are! As we mentioned, this past weekend was National Adoption Weekend and we had awesome kitties in our local pet store.

Along with the friendly visitors came two amazing volunteers who let everyone know about the North Toronto Cat Rescue and all the great work that they do for little ones!

We here at Pets Overload cannot thank you enough for all the work that you do. The countless hours you put into these little ones, just because you care for their wellbeings.

Thank you for raising awareness, thank you for your knowledge, thank you for your friendly and open hearts and thank you for being there!

Who are you thankful for this week?

Its always great to meet (some) of the peeps who help out so readily to help those furs in need. Petcretary says she might become one of those if she evfur retires from her present job…maybe she will take furs to the nursing home she works in to give the residents petting time. They always smile and light up when furs come through, though most of them are pups that are from the various families. Sometimes we have a therapy dog that visits, but sadly his lady got sick and had to stop.

Petcretary has bought a few of them big stuffed kitties so they can hug them as much as they want!

That sounds like such a great idea! I know I used to love volunteering my time for longterm-care homes and I never thought of how much animals would help!

Volunteers are the best caregivers. They wouldn’t be there if they didn’t truly love kitties. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
