Our 78 Favourite Calico Cat Names

November 5, 2018 By Johnny Salib 12 Comments

Hey Pet Parents & Pet Lovers,

After adopting Kalista, I’ve been on a bit of a Calico addiction and we already know that I have a huge love for finding cute and quirky names for pets!

Although she’s already named, actually after a League of Legends champion (because we’re nerdy that way), it would be nice to see what other names we could have come up with that were either specific to her colouring, or named something “punny.”

So let’s get cracking and try to find and make up some of the best names you can give a Calico Cat! Same as the other post, I’m going to bold my favourite names! Let me know in the comments below which ones you liked the best!

I love calicos. My Joanie is a dilute calico, named for her Grammie. And I had a Lucy.

Our calicos were Chloe and Lily Olivia and our torties are Astrid and Calista Josette.
Mom likes the names Autumn, Snickers (though she doesn’t like the candy bar), Reese and Tootsie. She wants to name a cat Desmond but it didn’t fit for either Cooper Murphy or Sawyer. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

Those are all pretty names and I really like the name Desmond! Autumn is definitely one of my absolute tops! I would 100% name a kitty Autumn!

We had had grey/charcoal Tabby named Tigger. I find it interesting a Calico Cat would be named Tigger. Tigger was always a favorite name of mine too.

I often wonder why we didn’t name Angel “Dot” instead, because she has a dot on her back! Dottie is so much friendlier than “Angel”, and of course I like the ‘ee’ sound on the end. Even after 14-plus years, our Angel is most anti-social, still running away from us and hiding when we approach with empty hands. If we have food, then she’s loud and dancing! However, The Hubby and I have tried to allow our cats to name themselves; we pay attention and live with them for a while, then a name will pop up that we agree on. I have a notebook filled with cute names for a pet, but haven’t used a single one yet!

That’s so odd that Angel is still so anti-social. I haven’t had an anti-social cat yet. Walker is a bit anti-social, in the sense that he absolutely hates being held and has to be pet on his own conditions, but he still sleeps with my parents and comes to sit with them all the time.

That’s interesting that you have a notebook, but haven’t used the names yet! We’ve always named our cats upon meeting them. Once we saw Kalista’s picture we knew we were going to name her that. She looks like a Kalista to us!
