Hey Pet Parents & Pet Lovers,
Sometimes life gets too busy and you forget to write about the moments that are the most important to you. A similar situation happened last year where I ended up not writing Beau a happy birthday piece until the end of December.
For us, we always remember Beau’s birthday a few weeks before it happens and then on the day… well… something always happens! Last year, we were going through the struggles of having a kitty who had frequent Urinary Tract Infections and ultimately had to put Beau through two operations being his Perineal Urethrostomy & Double Cystotomy. (This all taking place very close to Beau’s Birthday.) This year, I have no excuse other than, I’ve been so busy working and it slipped my mind to actually write the post! That’s not to say that I didn’t spoil Beau a whole lot this weekend.
We actually don’t know Beau’s exact birthday, since he’s a stray, but considering how big he was when we first found him and how large he was when we were able to bring him inside, we assume his birthday was sometime in November of 2014. This makes Beau 4 years old and what a big boy he’s becoming!
This year to celebrate Beau’s 4th Birthday we gave him lots of cuddles and even spoiled him with a few of his favourite treats Greenies. (We don’t normally feed Beau any treats to make sure that the pH of his urine is ideal and won’t cultivate crystals). I usually like to buy the cats new toys for their birthdays, but this year I didn’t give myself a chance to research anything new. So, maybe I’ll find him something a bit bigger and combine it with his Christmas gift (since it’s coming up fairly soon!)
